This is a call I had with scammers running fake Norton and Geek Squad protection plan refund scams. They con people by offering a refund for $299 but have you connect to their “Secure
server which grants them access to your computer or mobile phone. You fill out a refund form where these criminals type extra digits so your refund amount appears to be $2,900 or $29,900 resulting in them asking you to return the difference.
I on the other hand access their systems and proactively call their victims in an attempt to warn them but some times it’s just too late!

If you don’t pay attention to search engine results, you might just end up on a ‘bank’ login page which tells you to call their security department. This video goes behind the scenes and you’ll see the scammers who are pretending to be your bank and how they rob you in broad daylight from thousands of miles away.
