So far I’ve only encountered this sort of scam call a few times. They are likely targeting immigrants, or just testing their script. It’s a scary example of how far scammers will go to steal.

Just so you know, you’re never going to have a legitimate company calling you for a refund, asking to see your bank account. I highly recommend you don’t answer your phone if you don’t recognize the number, and always verify who you are talking to- and call them back on the companies public number just to be sure.
